AI Is Running ALL MY CLIENTS SEO Blog. Here’s the Growth So Far
If you’re looking for SEO advise; here’s my take
If you’re looking for SEO advise; here’s my take
A year ago, I made the bold decision to hand over my clients’ SEO blog management to artificial intelligence. It was a gamble that has since paid off in ways I couldn’t have imagined.
What started as an experiment has revolutionised how we approach content strategy, creation, and optimization.
The human aspect of SEO has changed dramatically with the rise of ChatGPT, SEO writing has now become a gamified writing for even faster “keyword spamming”.
Search Engine Optimisation has become Search Everywhere Optimisation.
SEO has shifted over the last 2 years whether you like it or not, many traditional SEO agencies have shifted their approach toward optimising for social media as well.
Why? It’s the future.
Gartner, a research and advisory firm, forecasts a 25% reduction in the use of search engines like Google by 2026, attributing this anticipated decline primarily to the rise of AI chatbots such as ChatGPT.
On top of that, younger demographics, particularly Gen Z, are increasingly favouring platforms like TikTok for search functions over traditional search engines. An April 2024 survey indicated that 45% of Gen Z prefer using social media for search, reflecting a shift away from platforms like Google.
As we wrap up 2024, Let me take you through the journey and the incredible growth we’ve experienced.
Why AI?
I remember back in 2023 when I first wrote an article on how the freelancer economy will be taken over by AI(now seemingly obvious).
The Freelancing Economy is Dead
If you are still a freelancer charging $5 to $50 per article that you write. Sorry to tell you that you will be the…medium.com
Managing multiple clients with diverse industries and goals had become overwhelming. From ideation to publishing, every piece of content required hours of manual work.
That’s when I started exploring AI tools like ChatGPT(In particular AIPRM), Jasper AI, and SurferSEO. These platforms promised to streamline the process while maintaining high-quality standards.
It was time to test if they could deliver on their claims.
Implementation Strategy
Content Ideation: We used AI to analyze trending topics and keywords specific to each client’s niche. Tools like SEMrush and Ahrefs were integrated with AI models to ensure our topics were both relevant and competitive.
Drafting and Writing: AI-generated the first draft of every blog post. This drastically reduced the time spent on writing from scratch. Human editors would refine the tone, verify factual accuracy, and add a unique voice to the content.
SEO Optimization: SurferSEO and Clearscope worked seamlessly with AI to optimize keyword density, structure, and readability. Every blog was crafted to rank high in search engines without sounding robotic.
Publishing and Analytics: AI-powered tools like WordPress plugins ensured posts were published at optimal times. Google Analytics and Search Console tracked performance, providing real-time feedback for further refinement.
The Results
Here’s how my clients’ SEO blogs have grown in just six months:
Traffic: Organic traffic across 15 websites saw an increase of an average of 210% across all clients. One client in the e-commerce sector saw a 320% spike in monthly visitors.
Engagement: The average time spent on pages improved by 65%. AI-generated blogs were informative and engaging, leading to longer reader retention.
Rankings: 78% of targeted keywords now rank on the first page of Google. This was particularly impressive for clients in competitive niches like finance and health.
Cost Savings: The cost of content production dropped by nearly 50%, as AI reduced the need for extensive manual labour.
Key SEO Rules to Follow:
Set up your domain for Google Search Console and Google Analytics (get Google to know you want to be discovered)
Link your website RSS to Meta and Linkedin(the easiest to pump up reach) and don’t forget to have your own personal content written around it as well
Rule no.1 of writing an SEO article is whether will people pay to read your article. If it’s not helpful/worth buying, don’t write it. Write articles that you can make money (e.g. sell a product, an affiliate, information that best support your business).
Your DA(domain authority) is 0, The best way to get it up there is to find the best keyword you want to rank that’s low competition preferably 20 and below(don’t fight the big boys just yet).
Have many low-hanging long-tail keywords added to the article
Last Rule: Don’t expect immediate results. If you want to get more immediate results, get on Linkedin and Meta to reach out to clients.
Lessons Learned
AI Is a Tool, Not a Replacement: While AI can handle the heavy lifting, human oversight is crucial. Creativity, storytelling, and brand alignment still require a human touch.
Data-Driven Insights Matter[MOST IMPORTANT]: AI excels at analyzing data and predicting trends. Feed it as much data and let it decipher how to make amazing content. Leveraging this capability can provide a significant edge in creating relevant content.
Iterative Refinement Is Key: The first draft generated by AI is rarely perfect. Continuous feedback loops and improvements have been essential to achieving high-quality output.
What’s Next?
Given the success of this experiment, I’m now expanding the use of AI into other aspects of digital marketing, such as email campaigns and social media content(LinkedIn is my goldmine!).
The goal is to create an ecosystem where AI supports every facet of my clients’ growth while freeing up time for strategic thinking and innovation.
Final Thoughts
AI has fundamentally changed how I manage SEO blogs for my clients. It’s not just about automation; it’s about amplifying capabilities and driving results at an unprecedented scale. If you’ve been hesitant to adopt AI for your content strategy, now’s the time to leap.
